Rochester 5th Ward Information

In an attempt to close the gap between city government and its citizens, especially those I represent in Rochester's Fifth Ward, I will try to provide timely updates on issues and concerns that are under consideration for council action as well as any specific concerns you bring to my attention.

Fifth Ward NNO Picnics - Thanks

The annual National Night Out (NNO) neighborhod picnics took place again last week, Tuesday, August 1 with the Fifth Ward holding at least 25 neighborhood get-togethers.

I tried my hardest to visit them all but only succeeded in visiting 12. What a great opportunity to visit with old friends, put some faces with names on new friends, and, in general have a great time. Thank yo all for your hospitality.

This year I asked the hosts to help me collect written questions and comments so I could have something to work with and as a means of getting some feedback from you in case I wasn't able to personnaly attend the event. THanks for your help and support. I'm glad to say that this seemed to work well and I will certainly do this again next year (if elected, that is.)

I also collected e-mail addresses to add to my ward distribution list. I have a pretty decent contact list by neighborhoods so if something in the Ward is happening in your neck of the woods I can try to let yo know about it.

This also works well for soliciting your input on issues that come to the council. (how else am I supposed to represent you?) So, if you haven't been getting anything in the way of e-mail occasionally from me (guarrantee no jokes, spam, campaign literature or the like) then send your address to me at bobnow@charter.net .

Thanks
