Rochester 5th Ward Information

In an attempt to close the gap between city government and its citizens, especially those I represent in Rochester's Fifth Ward, I will try to provide timely updates on issues and concerns that are under consideration for council action as well as any specific concerns you bring to my attention.

New City Information Service

Staying home waiting for the big snowstorm and playing on the internet reminded me to tell you about a fantastic new service on the city's home page -- an automatic e-mail update service!

First of all there's a ton of information on the city's home page rochestermn.gov . The latest updates on several projects like the Silver Lake Goose project, The Quarry Hill ravine revision, and the Cascade Lake project. There's info about the current events at Mayo Civic Center, info from the Mayor's office on board and commission openings for appointments, the city council meeting agendas and minutes, changes in ordinance, a lot of general announcements and much more.

The neat thing now is that you can sign up to have selected pieces of information sent to your e-mail address as they become updated or posted on an immediate, daily, weekly, or monthly basis.

I think this is a really neat way to stay informed about what's happening in the city and thought you should know about it.

Your tax dollars at work for YOU! Check it out!

Bob
