A Couple of Opportunities
However, there is one opening to be filled on the Charter Commission. This is an important commission for the city. The opening and more information will be posted today on the City's home page www.rochestermn.gov . Details on the Charter Commission could be found at http://www.rochestermn.gov/departments/mayor/boards/index.asp and you can download or complete an application on-line from this site as well. You may also pick an application up at the Mayor's office or call Donna at 295-8080. For more detail contact about the position and function of the commission contact Ass't City Attorney, Dave Goslee at 285-8066.
TRAFFIC ISSUES? Gary Shannon, Rochester's Traffic Engineer, will be at my weekly Grandma's Kitchen coffee next Friday, January 26 so bring your traffic concerns and stop in. I am usually there from 7 am to 8:30 to catch some of you before you get to the salt mines. We will stay as long as you want us there. Gary will address some of our latest thinking in signalization, traffic calming measures, and other creative ideas to improve traffic safety in Rochester so be there. If possible, let me know beforehand if you'll be there (so I might set aside more tables) and also what your major concern is so we could be better prepared to address the issue.
As always, if you have any questions, comments, etc don't hesitate to contact me. If you know of a friend or neighbor who isn't on my distribution list feel free to forward this to them and suggest that they contact me to be added. Also, don't forget to include me in your change of address. Every so often I get email rejects and some are difficult to resolve (you folks with unlisted phones)!!!
